Mmmmmm.... Vanilla Float....

Sorry, I can't help you but that's an interesting name. I always thought Float was their Air Sprung Line and Vanilla was their coil sprung line.

looks like a 2004

You are correct; there is no 'Vanilla Float.' Interesting side note that I was not aware of before: FLOAT is an acronym, standing for Fox Load Optimum Air Technology.

Oops. :o. And I opened that photo too. And then I reseasrched some more, including downloading the 2000-01 PDF of the owners manual and it only listed it as the FLOAT there. I stand corrected.

I found owner manual documents that list it as an Air Vanilla Float R, even found a picture, although, Kurt may be right, the Godzilla float was a popular model!

Fascinating! 00-01 was devoid of that:

More Fox trivia:

What was the original name of the company started by the Brothers Fox before they split off into Fox Racing Shox and the Fox Racing apparel line? (No Googling)

Yeah that looks like it, thanks dude. I'll let you all know if I e-bay a godzilla edition.:D

harov3 11-21-07 03:02 PM

I should probably note I just bought it on ebay and was looking for info so I can get the right reducers for my frame. If its around a 99 though it probably doesn't work as well as the standard 06 vanilla thats already there, damm.

No cookie for you. Yes, Moto-X Fox. They started the long-travel trend when they fitted their Fox AirShox to a modified-pivot Maico.
