hey thanks all. i've been ultra-busy this week (working 3 days a week in Stuttgart, 2 hours away) so rarely on the forums...

although Octoberfest is going on right now, i just had a very small birthday celebration with my girlfriend... but i can't ask for much more.

tomorrow is another MTB ride in the Alps - cooler but weather still holding up!

tomorrow evening a good friend of mine from Portland OR (now lives in Chicago) is arriving and next weekend we're heading to Lake Garda Italy for 4 days of late-season extreme mountain biking!

I think he's too drunk to answer right now........
well, it's kind of hard to find riding partners right now as many people answer "no man, i'm going to Octoberfest to get drunk!"

but my style is more:
Hope you get some good ridin in to celebrate.
last Sunday the was was SO nice we decided to try out an adventure high up in the mountains we thought would have to wait until next summer: a tour with a total of 2300meters of vertical climbing around the ZugSpitze with all hiking trails -- including a 650meter vertical trail of only CARRYING the bike uphill, plus a super/technical/rocky blocked trail at 2100meters of elevation... a steep downhill and some other trails. it was VERY tiring! but beautiful!

and tomorrow's ride is kind of my birthday celebration ride i guess --- weather is decent - going riding with my girlfriend ---- should be a great day, although we also have to do a little extra "training" as she has her 4-day MTB Bike Guide training next weekend and needs to practice some riding skills for the "examination" -- but i of course am quite willing to help! (gee, helping my girlfriend with mountain bike riding skills so she can be a certified mountain bike guide - how horrible!)

P.S. i can not belive i am ---33--- years old! man, that sounds old and boring, but i know i am not!
