Big air...

Ah, man. There are some new trails that I found out by my house. There is this large bank, with a steep incline that I can't even walk up!! Its about a 30 foot hill. My friend bet that I wouldn't go off of it. Its not like I was getting 30 feet of air, becuse it has an incline still, but it felt like I was becuase I couldn't see the ground under me, I could only see the bottom of the bank, and it felt weird, after doing it only twice I felt sick....whats with that, I think that played some tricks with my head. Anyway, it was a rush, landing was hard, but the worst part, was taking the corner at the bottom of the hill:). It was fun.

sounds great...........just treat all the landings like the first one.. once you get too layed back about it is when accidents happen. this if from experience

Tell me how you did it, i have a drop like this coming up.

Maelstrom 09-25-03 03:57 PM

I can't envision what you are trying to describe...

Maelstrom 09-25-03 03:58 PM

Were you dropping in off the top of the 30ft hill onto the hill (which you used as a tranny) and then there was a fast banking turn at the bottom?

Dazza 09-25-03 04:15 PM

I think its like a 30 foot long hill which is almost vertical, and he rolled down it, and at the bottom, the ground levels off to become horizontal again quite sharply, well thats what i took from it anyway :D

Thanx dazza...that sounds better :)

Maybe you started to feel sick simply because your stomach was going through some freefall on the way down. The same thing makes people feel sick to their stomach all the time on airplanes. Sounds like a really fun drop!

Thanx dazza...that sounds better
Its all good ;)

RussellM 09-26-03 02:21 PM

humm... I was thinking it was more like a ski jump, where the hill is 30 feet, but if you jump real hard from the top, you can get air all the way to the bottom of the hill. your in the air for 30', yet your only a few feet from the hill, its just that the hill drops out from under you about the same speed as your droping. And then there is a hard turn at the bottom. Thats what I took from the description anyway. I think we need pictures to clear this up :)

Dazza 09-26-03 04:10 PM

maybe imprezaman will clear this up mate, i dare say you're right here.

imprezaman 09-26-03 06:37 PM

Someone was saying that if I got to relaxed I would wreck, and well I wish I had read this before, but too late, and I did wreck but it wasn't that bad, I though I was going to really get hurt though. I will clear it up for you on how the jump is. There is a thrity foot bank, with a small jump at the top, where people ride there dirt bikes up, I am dumb enough to actually jump going down...anyway, the turn is at the top of the hill but its just slight. Thats why I wrecked I got to much air and went off the trail...my friend was recording and caught me saying some bad words and holding myself. How can I take that jump....

Dazza 09-27-03 07:41 AM

I still dont know what the hell kinda jump that is ;)

imprezaman 09-29-03 01:29 PM

:) I'am sorry I took a picture but I can't get it on the site, becuase the file is to big....would someone please help me

imprezaman 09-29-03 01:32 PM

:)And don't say put it on as a Jpeg, cuase its still to big...all I can do I guess is to Zip it, then you'll have to download it. Will that work?

rasheed 09-29-03 02:33 PM

have you tried reducing the picture's resolution or the size of the picture itself? you might have the resolution set really high or the dimensions of the picture too big, thus the big file size.

DMulyava 09-29-03 02:37 PM

If you have some graphics program you can go in.. and optimize the image.

The maximum attachment size on this board is 100 kb.

oxygen_77 09-30-03 09:52 AM

there are instructions on this site as to how you can use the image tags to insert images, etc.

Next time you post a message look for the little help link next to vB Code on the left side of your reply. If you click on that it'll tell you how to post images that are hosted on other computers.
