Spiders. Rabbits. Saw a fox once. Once. |
Kangaroos and they r really annoying and scary if you almost run into one.

Here are a few from the Portland, Oregon and surrounding areas. Some of these I see on a daily basis...Others not as often. I see much more, but I have posted enough. Enjoy!

A-freakin-men to that. Ever been night-downhilling, just gone up a double, focusing on your landing and BAM a roo parks on the trail? Holy crap. Longest, scariest air time ever!
Beautiful photos, guys. I'd like to try mountain biking in the northwest! |

No, I haven't run into any kangaroos in Arizona. Had a cow nearly wipe me out though!
Beautiful photos, guys. I'd like to try mountain biking in the northwest! You have no idea how much a DHer especially craps himself upon sighting a roo. Cars get written off from hitting them. Not from spinning out afterwards due to crap driving, or rolling fro the same reason, but the impact itself of the roo can write off cars. |
chupacabra. never hung around to get a picture.

^^^Thanks guys.
There is about and inch of ice covering everything today, as it switches from snow to rain to snow to freezing rain. Awesome. |
Wait to late June and into July. I'll be crying then.

You know, I've been thinking about the kind of riding I do. I was worried my riding wasn't mountain biking. To get off of the dirt roads and do cross country here, I'd have a flat inside of 10 minutes because of all the thorns and spines on everything.

Your in Arizona, right? My understanding is ther's some great single track in areas, but Stans is a must to slow the leaks from thorns.... |
