Bell extra thick tubes?
 

I was in need of a tube so I ran to Wall Mart and saw the "Bell Flatblocker Max self sealing innertube--Platinum series, Extra thick."
So I got it. The tubes heavy, but the outter edge of the tube is like armored! It's really thick.

Anyway, anyone use these? are they good as the box makes them sound?
They didn;t have any patch kits, so i had to settle on this.

I personally have no experience with those, but I do use the thicker, downhill tubes. It sounds like those tubes are extra thick and have some puncture sealing substance similar to tube slime or whatever it's called (that green stuff in the container that looks like a clear mustard or ketchup dispenser in restaurants). But anyways, I tried using the slime a few years back and was disappointed. For the rotating weight that gets added, its not worth it. Not only does it make you slower, but it can only seal punctures up to something like 1/8" in diameter. Good luck with these tubes, and tell us how they are!

Yea, I almost got some slime to fix my other tubes, But last time I had slime in my tube, it blew out through the tire and coated my back... (my tire on my BMX split down the middle, and the tube shredded lol.

I should be riding today where I got a 2 flats in about 2-2.5 hours.

These tires are just really thick, so thick that they cant be folded like normal tubes, the Box was so big, I could of fit 1/2 gallon milk carton in it which I did when I threw it away)
They have this "Bell version" of Slime.

i have not used those, but i have been using the regular tubes from walmart quite a bit. last time i put stans sealant in the walmart tube. i did a very rocky race yesterday and did not flat. it seemed like almost 50% of the racres flatted...probably not that many but it felt like it.

Sadly, I didn't get to ride today. When I do, I'll purposely run over a thorn bush to see if it's "No flats guaranteed" statement is true. If not, I'll e-mail the company and get a free tube lol

Now thats the spirit! I love satisfaction guarantees. It gets me free stuff.:D

Also noticed that with these tubes I can run a Lower pressure and still get a good firmness.
Im running about 5psi in the front than back (front has these tubes in them) and it FEELS about the same.

yea When I get to ride, I'll be sure to put that promis to the test.

Ride Update:
I rode today, on purposely through some thorn bushes, even landed a wheelie on one.
No flats!


Edit day later: Yep its confirmed, NO FLATS! Tires are the same pressure as before.
