.

You are not fit to live. You could be a fan of the North Korea team and that would be better than Duke.

Go Heels!!!!!!!!!!!!

You and Gastro? Does anyone in NC actually like Duke?

I know, it's weird that I'm a Duke fan. I guess I like Coach K. Plus I think I first started watching around the time of the Duke/Kentucky Laettner game. They hooked me. I'm slowly becoming more a Syracuse fan though. Bit of a local team.

mtnbiker66 03-30-08 07:05 PM

If you don't live here it's really hard to get a feel for the UNC/Puke hatred. I really thought that you were one of the cooler BF guys but now..............I think i'm gonna be sick..........why couldn't you just say you like to set puppys on fire of something..........Duke?..........:crash:

edit* My father likes Duke............it's a real black mark in the family.

Dannihilator 03-30-08 07:25 PM

Rankin, think Giants-Jets. Or Devils-Rangers

cryptid01 03-30-08 07:26 PM

There's just way too much touchy feely stuff going on at Duke to meet with TGMBG approval.

Roy Williams is a real treasure, we sure hated to see him leave KU but He wanted to be home. I guess now we have play against him. That's not something I look forward to. Good luck to the NC fans!

I'm going to get rid of my kart. It's been taking up room in my garage. Ever since I started cycling I haven't had the urge to go out karting.

Anyone interested in a go-kart?

Dannihilator 03-31-08 10:12 PM

Nope

BFG 04-01-08 05:57 AM

Naw, the ole Blue Bullet is up on the sale block =[ Howd you break the der. Smashy?

Shifter or no?

No, direct-drive with a 2-stroke 100cc piston-port Yamaha KT-100 engine. It's direct-drive, which means I have to bump-start it. Not a problem for a 15 year old but I have to tell you I very often looked with envy at the guys with push-button starters.

dminor 04-04-08 02:12 PM

Does sound like fun anyway. Only that would be one more money-gobbling sport my better half would give me grief about ;)

I think my tastes would run toward a shifter cart with, say, a TZ750 powerplant :D

Sorry guys, but I had to post this. I'm a hockey fan, and I used to love watching Hockey Night in Canada back home. We don't get any Canadian channels here, so I haven't seen that in years, but I came across this photo and I had to share.

This man wears the most ridiculous suits. I love it. Way to go Don.

On a side note, if you want to get up REALLY fast in the morning, let your girlfriends pitbull hide a bone somewhere. Then have your dog walk past it so the pitbull leaps off the bed and jumps on your dogs back and attacks. That'll get you up quick!

santiago 04-05-08 08:37 AM

Don Cherry is a clown and his suits prove it.

That is true, but man is he entertaining. He does not hold back at all.

No, it's too quick for the streets and too low.

Speed is dependent on gearing. It's a direct-drive. Think of it like a fixed-gear bike. Depending on the rear sprocket I put on I either get better acceleration or better top end speed. Gearing is adjusted depending on the track. Most tracks have a mix of tight corners with a couple of long straights so a gear that supports both has to be picked. The way I like to set it up gives me a top speed at around 100km/h (~62 mph) at my favourite track.

There are different types of kart tracks. Here in Quebec we run European style tracks that have a distance of between 1 - 2 km. In Ontario and most of the US shorter tracks are run (400-800m). There also are races known as "Enduro" where karts are run on big, full sized tracks where cars usually run. These guys will run in excess of 100mph (160 km/h) using similar engines. Then there are the superkarts where 250cc shifter karts are run on full sized tracks and they will hit in excess of 150 mph (240 km/h).

mcoine 04-05-08 01:19 PM

Nice.. I was aware of the superkarts.. just curious where yours was in comparison.

Just got an email from my friend Chris. Here's a link to his blog. It'll have race updated through the year.

Here's a link to an article about Fox's Race Development Program. I found it interesting.

I haven't been riding much lately. I've been spending too much time with a flyrod in my hand. This is reallly gonna hurt me when we roll TGMBG style.

How did I know you would see it that way********************??

Haha, you have to bring it up here though...world class trout fishing on the Bow River in Calgary. I had to go out with a newer employee and train them on the boat during a project on Tuesday. We caught a few hundred rainbows, browns, and mountain whitefish...but we were using electricity so we were cheating.

Oh yeah, the riding is good here too...as long as all of this snow gets the hell out of here soon!
