UST vs Standard Tires

First off I am running the Stans no tube system on my Mavic 317 rims. I have used Conti Explorers and expedition along with Hutchinson Pythons with all the same results, tears that Stans cannot seal. I was curious if I switch over to a UST tires such as Hutchinson Python from the regular pythons are they a thicker tire? Any help would be appreciated.

Since no one replied, I'll help you out.

The casing IS thicker on a UST tire. Saddly, the tread of UST tires is usually shallower to save some weight.

Run a thicker regular tire and don't worry about it.

Nokian makes a 2.3" tire that weighs 650 grams. It's called the NBX. It's pretty good in all conditions, and the casing is nice and thick. I haven't ripped mine yet.
