Mah Fuel is mah favorite.
I can guarantee 95% of the posters in this thread will say their most current bike is the best.
That or the "All bikes are different" schtick, hardtail vs. dualie, et cetera. That said, all bikes are different.

Intense 5.5
My Intense 5.5 Fully and my Litespeed Obed Hardtail are the best bikes I've ever ridden!
Highly recommended if you can spare the extra dime!

Well I can't say for how they've changed over the last 11 years since I bought it. Frame has a bit too much flex in it for my comfort but the bike has been raked over the coals time and time again. Really solidified for me that you don't a lot of bike to go big.

Had an "88" Schwinn KOM MTB with red white and blue livery that was the sweetest handling single track ride I've yet to recreate with new equipment...
As long as I'm on the American color theme, this old Prologue TT is one of the wildest handling bikes I've owned (sadly this pic has the front wheel that I used while training, in race trim it was fitted with a bladed spoked Saavedra)
Once that small front wheel has some inertia at speed it handles telepathically

By far my most versatile was my Yeti AS-X. It went on paved bike paths with my wife, it did cross-country rides (and a couple or three races), epic rides, dirt jumped, downhilled, did it all. Wish I could have kept it as a 'second.'

Fisher Tassajara (only a few original parts remain). New XT crank to be installed once I stop being lazy. My best bike to date. Someday I'll be sitting on 5" of squish - but I haven't found a trail yet that this is not capable of handling.
