For you US gravity guys......

I just talked to Chris Herndon and they are finalizing contracts for the Specialized/Decline race team. Looks like it'll be US dual slalom champ Chris Herndon, US down hill champ Cole Bangart,Cody Warren and Curtis Keen( if I remember right). He told me there would be a press release soon. Looks like the race guys have had a hard time of it for the last few years,it's nice to see some one step it up to put a good US team together. I'll post more on it as I find out......

We'll see how it goes. There's just no $$ in racing it seems. I hope they do well.
Props to Specialized and Decline for giving the guys what they need to go race.

Never is, really. At best its usually just enough to cover the costs of living on the road through a season so that they can pursue racing full-time and not have to have a "real" job.

Thats the truth. This is the first year that Chris has been able to train full time and not work a job in the winter.

Did I break the rules by looking in here because I'm from Canada, not the US?

Good to see them helping out.

As far as money, maybe one day (big MAYBE) we will get back to like it was in the late '80s to mid '90s when pros were earning 6 figure salaries and even the racers at the Sport level would earn some cash for a podium finish.

That group of riders has a pretty good list of accomplishments. I wonder who might replace Cole Bangart in the Morewood lineup.
