Good mtb part sites?

Hey guys, I'm new to mountain bikes and i was hoping you all could direct me to some good sites online to buy quality parts for what you should pay.
I'm looking for something along the same quality as benscycle.net is for fixed gear/track
thanks!

when searching for anything related to anything.

Junkyard was right. A ten second Google search would have come up with all of those results.

Pricepoint.com has some decent prices

achc 03-05-08 05:08 PM

MTBR.com will help you find some sources!

Here is a list I have on had and bought from before:
http://www.cambriabike.com/
http://www.beyondbikes.com/
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com
http://www.nashbar.com/index.cfm
http://www.performancebike.com/index.cfm
http://www.pricepoint.com/
http://webcyclery.com/home.php

All of those shops seems fine except Performance Bike which is a huge US store, great product, great price, but not customer friendly if you ever talk to them on the phone or need support.

There are also store which sells specific items:
(i.e.) http://www.aspirevelotech.com - Chris King

DID I MENTION EBAY? I HAVE BOUGHT 170+ BIKE RELATED ITEMS THROUGH EBAY FOR THE PASS FOUR YEARS!

I enjoyed it almost as much as I enjoy the fact that you wasted time commenting back on it. You'll find that you'll have more success in life learning how to solve your own problems. Just think, one day scelia won't be there to give you the answer!

We should just sticky this so it's here. Just keep all the helpful posts.

I'll recommend pricepoint, just ordered a new fork, and bb7's, cheapest price I could find on both items. I'll continue to do business with them.

I've also ordered from performancebike, but I only do so when they have coupons/free shipping.

Sorry, it's just so hard not to in this lycra.

Cheeto 03-05-08 07:25 PM

Price Point is a good place. I've bought a few items off them already.
Bough a bike rack from Performance, no problems.

Pffft. I don't need lycra. I have no problem "exposing" myself with baggie shorts. The rolled up socks have nothing to do with anything, though.

To the OP: A search in this forum would have brought up countless threads like yours.

Thus reassuring the OP that he/she is not the only lazy piece of ***** looking for other people to do his/her research.

Depends on the item but, you may find stuff on Amazon.com

I can't. I'm busy researching cheap online retailers that sell bike gear for every *****bag that is too lazy to do it for themselves.

santiago 03-06-08 11:40 AM

What this thread needs is for someone to provide a photoshopped image that is somewhat related to the topic, but annoying enough to the OP. Doug?

I buy parts for a living and it still amazes me that a 10sec google search can often turn up the part I want faster than anything else I know.
