Moved to Renton, WA

Hey,

I just wanted to let everyone know that I found an apartment in Renton, WA and am moving in on Sunday Oct. 26th. I'll be in the area until November 1st when I fly back to Charleston, SC to finish up my last 2 weeks at work and to pack up all my stuff and drive back to Washington.

I'm probably going to try and do some trail riding Monday the 27th through that Friday so let me know if anyone wants to join me and show me around the trails. This place is AWESOME!!! I'm so excited that I'm finally going to be in an area where I can go backpacking, mountainbiking, skiing, or anything else outdoor-ish without having to drive 5+ hours. I'm looking forward to meeting those of you who live/ride in the area!

Ill show ya around if you want. I go to school mon-fri but I ride every sat and sun. We have been going to a trail on the other side of the mountains called the rat pack. Its a fun downhill trail with some jumps, ladders and drops but can be ridden with any kind of bike. The trail options are somewhat limited to the lowlands during the winter. Ill be going out this weekend. One day probably somewhere local and the other either over the mountains or up on snoqualmie pass somewhere.

arr! rat pak is where I broke my c-bone. careful on those jumps!
also rat pak is like a 2 hour drive. yuk!

oxy- where in renton did you move to? There's a cool but heavily used trail system called Towers of Power (in honor of the puget power station), or simply "the wurm" by some, right behind Phillip Arnold Park in Renton. I think the park is at the end of 9th Street... I havn't been there for months but I'd head out there on the weekend with you if you like. I work during the week and don't yet have good lights for night riding otherwise I'd offer to show you around in the evening.

What jump/stunt did you do it on? And btw its only like an hour 20 min from bellvue where we meet and carpool. I guess for people father south it would take longer.

I rode what I think was part of it yesterday afternoon by myself. I was only there for about 30 minutes though because the sun was setting and I didn't want to get lost... Seems like a pretty cool area!

Yeah, I got some pretty good directions from someone in my apartment complex so I found Parasite (which I thought was part of Tapeworm). Today I rode Tapeworm and the last jump in the Dirtjump area... I had to do that jump about 20 times because I wanted my wife to take a photo and the camera kept failing to take a pic. Tapeworm is an awesome workout and the see-saw and drops were fun as well... I appreciate the offer for this coming Sunday, but I'll be back in Charleston, SC by then so I can pack up my stuff and drive back out here. I should be back in town around Nov 25th so I'll try to hook up with you then. Thanks again, and have fun on Sunday!!!
