Are you talking about hitting the top set (kind of a small hip) or rolling down the first set and jumping the second set...
I wouldn't do either, not a fan of concrete but I would more likely nail the second choice over the first. |

Seems like it could be done. I personally wouldn't hit them but I have a thing against concrete :D...hitting trees and slick rock is one thing :)
|
I would not try them with the skills I have now, but that doesnt mean someone couldnt do it.
|
from the view looking down it looks do-able. the reverse view it looks a bit trickier because of the angle between the top set of stairs and the middle one.
i've been looking at it for a while thinking of how i'd jump those stairs if my skills were at the level where i would consider giving it a shot. i think i'd try to jump the first set landing on the second as a tranny, then hitting that second plateau and jumping the third set landing in the parking lot below. (i dunno if that'd be possible, but that's what i was thinking). looks like something fun, but it does look like too much going on at once. the gap jump in the making... were you thinking of gapping the road and landing on the other side of that wall? |
Gapping from the top to the second set would require skills of the best rider, if the best rider even had that much skill or even thought it was possible.
|
Judging by the pics if you start as far to the right as possible, you might be able to jump the first set, hit the landing, correct, and jump the second and third sets. I'm sure there's someone insane enough to try it! :D
As for me, I'll stick with rolling down them for now! |
I guess it is probably do'able. But way too narrow for me. I think the line is there, but damn, if you don't clean up your line quick after hitting the tranny off the top you are in for trouble since you need to keep some speed for the second. Unless you are just trying to clear the first step or two. For sure I'd wait till it was dry!
Hope you get a friend to photograph it and post it here if you try it! Knarly |
No way. I don't like the angle of the top gap, nor do I like the distance between second and third sets..
|
What you need to do is jump the first set and then do a rail slide over the second and hop off the rail clearing the third. :crash: :D
Personaly, I would rather roll in between the stairs and the wood balcony and drop the stone walls. |
dbd,
Sounds like a good dose of Downhill Domination. Something I would try in th game for sure :D |
well considering the curve of the stairs, as long as you can clear the railing up at the top and the entire second stairset you should be ok, but they look kinda long with out having some kind of kicker to launch off of a little bit.
|
I'd say build a jump on top of the first set, hit it with as much speed as possible (maybe get pulled by a car) than gap the entire middle section landing on the third set. If you hit it at the right angle, you should clear the rails on the second set. ;)
|
Yes.
Gap them? Probably not, but launch off and land as far down as possible, yes... :D |
well.... jump the first set and then ride down the other sets.... i don't think you could jump have enough speed to jump again.... ~ mikeym

I'd definitely snowboard over it, but looks too hairy to jump on bike.
The Eastern Standard video I downloaded HERE has dudes flying over stairs like this. Dirt, trees, or snow is fine, but I stay away from big jumps on concrete. Looks cool, though. |
