bunny hops?

ok so I've gotten to be able to pull my front wheel up pretty good now. I am trying to bunny hop now and I heard your not supposed to pedal when you pull up? Is this true??! w/o pedaling I can't get my front wheel high enough, any help?

Yes, you should be able to get your wheel up so high it puts you off the back of your bike WITHOUT pedaling.

people just dont seem to understand the the bunny hop is almost all arm strength
the rest is being able to maneuver ur body in the air
