Manitou SLR rear shock acting funny please help!

just bought an 07 Gary Fisher Supercaliber 29er and riding it around the parking lot i was really stoked on it. so i got it home and decided to add some air to the rear shock which was bottoming out when i just sat on it. after i pumped it up to 150 psi it was really really stiff. my problem now is that i cant seem to loosen the shock back up even after i remove all the air (according to two different shock pumps). What do i do??

could it mess the shock up to hit the lockout lever while your sitting on the shock?? im also considering that it might be that my shock was resting on the car bike rack on the ride home...is a rear shock too delicate for that?? thanks in advance for your help
