My first non-department store bike.

I just picked it up today, a jamis ranger sx from god knows what year. I'm a broke high school junior so it's been beaten well and cost me $60.00 but I bought it from a dude who taken good care of it, please let me have my happy day instead of ranting about how I should have saved for a few more months for a $300 trek. It was a colossal pain in the ass to get it in the back seat of my tiny car after taking both wheels off but I'm still in love with the old thing. Tomorrow I'm going to the park adjacent to my school, making sure to park far from the main road so nobody I know sees my dorky walmart helmet and see if I can tear it up like I did when I was 12 years old. Expect to see me around here a little more often.

Nice find.

If it all works, that's a really good price for that bike. Old steel, rigid fork MTBs usually get $70-100 on CL around here. Any brand name bike with a suspension fork starts at about $125. So I think you did real good.

Yeah, but with that FOX fork, I'll bet you paid a tad more than $60 :D. Nice bike.
