Never heard of the Hairbike before, but I would probably go for that as the components look good as does the fork.
Second choice would be the GT avalanche.

Haibike while not being that well heard of(Including yours truly), but has a really good parts spec on it.

Run away scared from that Mongoose.

The Matts is a Model made by Merida and is of the Price range of the hardrock(For those that don't know, Merida owns Specialized.)

The GT is a good starter bike, but is a bit on the clunky side of the scale.

In that order I'd go.

1:Haibike
2:Merida
3:GT
4:Mongoose

I thought Merida was a cheap China knockoff brand of specialized. They do have a bike that looks exactly like the Epic. I learned something today.
