Midget punt
I lent my MTB out to a buddy, and he crashed it. The front wheel was tacoed. The rim was a loss, so now he's buying me a new wheel. At least he's cool.
People on eBay are stupid. Also, I ordered some BB7s through the local shop. Was this a bad choice, Kenneth? |
BB7 = win!
|
ok i got bb7s. and extra cable + housing. how to install?
|
Like any other disk brake. Put the two screws in connecting it to the frame, connect the cable, then adjust. The nice thing about bb7s is adjusting them takes no effort, they have little dials that you just spin with your fingers to make the pads go twords the rotor, or away. Don't be upset if the don't work right away, they take a while to break in.

There should be instructions in the box.
|
If you spin the wheel and reach in to adjust the dials make sure you don't accidently catch your finger between the spinning rotor's cutouts and the caliper. You'll slice clean through your fingernail.
On the plus side you WILL be more careful next time. :) |

Search "avid bb7" on youtube or google video. It has very detailed, step by step instructions.
