Worth the price?
EDITTED: 2004 Trek ALPHA 4500, used one summer. no rust nothing of that nature. Comes with extra accessories as pump, a small bag under the seat thing. $289.
BTW, I am in Toronto, Canada, so the price are a tad more here.

I haven't met up with the seller. But from the look of it, I'd might be picking up a new one instead of a used.

I'm not sure I'd buy a used helmet. Even if it looks like it's in good condition, it might have been in a crash.
I'd be careful with rust too. Rust might indicate that the bike lived outside.

^ you must misunderstood, I said I will might just pick up a new helmet. And yes, I took that in consideration that the bike might have seen some rain, but If everything is in working fashion, and just clean it up a bit, still worth the $300 + other accessories?

MSRP on a NEW 4500 is $579
I personally think 300 is a LITTLE steep, but if you like it, and the bike fits, its not an obnoxious price.

I agree probably a bit high. I own a 4500 from 2005 and they're tough bikes albeit a little heavy. Check it out.

As a comparison, I just picked up a 2004 Giant OCR3 road bike: retail was about $600.00, for $200.00. Didn't have a pump or seat bag, but $25.00 brakes levers for the "top" of the handlebars. ALMOST MINT!. I would say 99% mint! A couple of very, very minor scuffs that you have to be within inches to see. Probably less than 500 miles if I had to guess.
I think $300.00 is steep myself. As MT Bikes DO NOT hold the value like a rode bike. If it is in GREAT shape, and was rode only on dirt road/ pavement MAYBE, but not if it has seen trails.
Good luck,
Chris
