Losing my mind trying to find a shock bushing!!!

Iv done an insannnnneeee google search, spent nearly 3-4 hours, I emailed Fox and dont have much faith that they will get back to me (its been 2 days but i feel as though its my last resort), I found a place for the eyelet bushing (also called DU bushing) and found 1 place and it cost 10 bucks for shipping plus 3 bucks for the 1/2 inch ring :( ugh... I will pay it if I have to but it wont matter since i still have to replace the mounting hardware (http://www.sicklines.com/tech/shock_details/ heres the page about the 2 parts i need and their true descriptions)

Basically though i cant find them annnnnnnyyyywherrrrrree! I know someone here has had to replace their DU bushings and mounting hardware before. Where did you get the parts?

Iv tried 2 LBS's that "claim" to be specialized dealers and neither one can help.

Smashy, i dont know how much trouble it is, but can you send this to the mechanics forum?
-thanks

Same boat as you when I got a Manitou swinger and tried to fit it to my Specialized FSR. Calling specialized was useless, they couldn't even tell me the exact width or bolt sizes. Haha... wonder if they even make bikes.

Anyways, I had to order them from a company in england? or britain was it? Forgot the name off the top of my head. but they also make parts to increase suspension travel on some bikes, as well as other cnc parts.

call around to small machine shops in your area. They can turn custom bushings very easily. Probably still run you $20, but...worth a shot. That's how we took care of a buddie's SID. Shops have lots of small scrap laying around.

When you order/buy a shock they usually ask what bike it is for and send the bushings. I would suggest CALLING Fox, tell them what you bike and shock you have and they should be able to help you out. Their CS has always been great when I call and they also have an "800" number if you are not local.

If for some reason they can not help you out then give
PUSH or even Avalanche a call and they should be able to help out. Both companies re-valve and work on FOX products and are good people.
