They showed up today when I got them, I was a bit concerned about the size of the tire. They are 2.35's but when off of rims they looked to be more of a narrow 2.1 but once mounted on my wheels and inflated they measured to be around 2.3, so a little bit on the small side but wider than what I feared. They are also a bit lighter than a 2.35 kenda in a kevlar bead. Tire pressure range is 35-65 psi and is using a 60a rubber compound.

So naturally, I had to go get a good ride on them. Noticed immediately that they roll insanely good on a hard surface and was wondering if they were going to dig in the dirt as good as DMR claims them to. Found that out quite quickly, these tires do get really good grip on dirt, on dirt the moto diggers allowed me to comfortably hold a line on dirt.

So, it grips good on dirt, rolls great. Will it handle roots and rocks well? To sum that up, yes to a point, great tires for rocks, but you have to make sure you hit larger roots square on, these tire don't handle non square hits on roots very well. They shed mud well.

Overall, I found the DMR Moto Diggers to be good, very sound tires. I feel, that they roll like a set of crossmarks and have the bite in the dirt of a kenda excavator, and they have been around longer than either of those tires. They also don't cost as much as the other big makers out there. I would recommend these tires for someone who's wanting a wider tire that is on a tighter budget. Going to keep these on the bike for awhile to see how well they wear, so expect a long term review in the future.

To sum up:

Pros:
Rolls really good
Really digs into the dirt well
Confident cornering
Good on the rocks.

Cons:
Slightly on the narrow side
Are not the best on roots.

Kevlar or Wire?


And whats the black lip under the right crown?

Wire, even though the tire is also available in kevlar bead.

The black lip under the right crown is for me to measure sag.

One ride is enough to give a sound review?

Have one good 4 hour ride on them at a location that has a really good variety of terrain, which gave me ample time to get a good feel for them. I'll change my review as the tires wear.

Last part: Durability: Couldn't find out about tread life because within the first 3 minutes of my ride today, I tore the side walls out on the tires.

Awwww . . . I just had to poke a little fun. Seriously, the tread pattern is interesting and with a vague familiarity. Must be why it's got 'moto' in the name.

Actually, I'm picking up another set in the morning.

No no, I meant the tires.

The slashed sidewalls were due to rider error on picking a new line to try. I'm determined to really see how quickly these tires wear out.

Oh . . . it was late and I was tired.
