Old MTB, worth rebuilding?
 

I have an old Scott Yecora, purchased it back in 98 or 99. The frame is still good, came with rock shox front suspension. Do you guys think it would be worth it to upgrade the thing or just get a whole new MTB?

Probably not worth spending a lot of money on...if it just needs tires/tubes/cables/chain...maybe...

Why not? Get a rigid fork and make it a street-beater.

How much money do you have to spend? I probably spent a couple hundred bucks to restore my 1988 mtb for sentimental sake. You just need to put your calculator to work and figure out if upgrading your current bike would be worth it given the components you want.

Figured I'd throw on some mid level shimano components on it and call it a day.
