Pics from My Trip to Moab
Here are a couple shots from mine and my dad's trip to Moab. First time there and it was amazing. Freaking warm but I guess that's what you get when you go to the desert in the middle of the summer. Either way had an awesome time and here are some pics. Hope you enjoy them.

There's obvious geographical difficulties in me riding Moab, however I do wanna go. It's on the list.

Moab is great -- you should all ride it at some point. Slickrock is right up the hill from the town is most often associated with riding in Moab, but there are trails and other areas that also great places to ride. I did a weekend tour there and we rode about four or five trails/areas. Our guide must have pointed out another six within easy distance of the town. They also do tours in Canyonlands NP right near there as well and I'm sure there must be dozens of trails in surrounding areas.
Your pics make miss it though! I need to get back out there...
OP, which trails/areas did you ride?

Thanks for the compliments guys. If you haven't been there definatly head out there one day. Be smart though and go in the spring or fall so you don't want to pass out from the heat like I almost did
Sure was...pictures 1, 7, and 8 were taken at Bartlett Wash.
I wasn't really there for that long so didn't get to ride all that many cause I had to get back to work but the main ones we rode where Amasa Back (definatly my favorite, everyone should ride it if they ever get out there), Sovereign Single Track (both upper-loop and the bottom half), Slickrock Trail (also wicked fun), Bartlett Wash twice to fool around, and Porcupine Rim (fast and fun), there where a couple others but those where the best ones in no particular order.
2006 Specialized Enduro with a Fox 36 Van on it and a couple other upgrades...wicked bike.

+1 on NOT going there in the heat of the Summer. At that time of year it is commonly recommended to go riding very early in the morning and try to finish by 10 am., AND to bring insane amounts of water. I have heard that the Moab area EMS is one of the busiest in the nation. It is a deadly inferno.
I have gone to Moab in the month of October the last three years in a row. Perfect weather.

Hi Dylan,
Great photos. great riding. looks like you had a ton of fun.
Looking at the pictures I was also appreciating your riding technique. especially, your body position on the bike is very impressive.

Yeah I'll for sure head down there again sometime. I live in Edmonton, Alberta so that's about 2200 km away (around 1400 miles I think). We drove so on the way there we drove for 2 days stopping to sleep in Idaho. They way back we just drove for 28 hours or so straight while jacked up on monster energy drinks so we wouldn't fall asleep.

ATTN: Thread hijack ahoy.
Maelstrom - I'm planning my whirlwind riding adventure for next year. It's a toss up between Canada and Japan for a bunch of different reasons. For cost of living I'm leaning towards Japan, though Whistler sounds mighty delishus. I could even go to Moab since I'm on that continent....
