FSR XC or Epic

I have a 99 M4 thats tired,wanted to get another one but sales guy is selling me on the epic expert,I like the epic but I heard the brain goes bad alot ? I ride pretty hard ,what do you guys recommend,also whats a good price on the epic,? and when is 2009 models come out ?

The only brains I've heard of having trouble were the 07's, when Specialized first started making them theirselves. ( one local rider here had his replaced many times last year) I believe it's been addressed and taken care of now. I ride an 06 and have never had an issue with it.

seems like the Stumpjumper FSR Expert would be a better thing to compare to the Epic Expert. the FSR XC is considerably further down the lineup in price, components, etc.

I've heard the same about the '07 brains... '08s are better from what my local BS guys are telling me.

Thought about an Enduro? Regardless, you may be able to find good deals on '08 models soon. Definitely in the Fall...
