any one riding in the philadelphia area this winter
looking for anyone thats going to bet riding in the philly area on the weekends. i've been on travel since fall and i come home on weekends but i cant seem to get my self out to the trails. i was thinking if i had someone counting on me i would brake and just do it. and riding alone gets dull.
i'm still a newb lil out of shape (i dont go that fast)
would like to start early
love the wissahickon area but will travel up to an hour for a good ride
so if anyone is out there let me know
thankx in advance

well, i'm back in Germany now, but i was in Philly for 2 weeks around xMas and rode Wissahickon about 6 times plus French Creek... you guys got some decent trails right in the city! (better than my "backyard": Munich's in-town trails along the Isar River)
i rode a few times with Psycle Man (Andy) from the forum and i know he will be riding more - try sending him a PM (although i think he's not on BF too often).
and my brother-in-law lives in Chestnut Hill and will be riding Wissahickon a lot (he's a fit guy and i really got him interested/motivated to ride more as he lives like a mile from the park). if you PM me i could forward his email (he's a semi-pro inline skater so very fit - on the bike he is fit and skilled but not as good as the really experiences "racer" types)
there's a group from Kesswick cycle (Brian and Dann) that meets i think on Saturday mornings early (7am i think) to ride Wissahickon - although they are mostly really fit and experienced riders (a bunch of racers), but i rode with them and they are all very cool...
but you guys have the winter easy! all but the lowest wimpy trails out here are deep under snow - i ride with studded tires, but deep powder is still not possible!
