GT Avalanche 3 Disc 2008 vs Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc 2008

Hi guys/gals,

I can't decide between these bikes.

GT Avalanch 3 Disc 2008
https://www.gtbicycles.com/usa/eng/pr...iendly?id=5599

-- vs --

Specialized Hardrock Comp Disc 2008
https://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=32573

They both retail at ~ £300. I'm swayed to the GT as I prefer the pait work.

Which is the better bike?

Thanks.

I ended up buying a cheap basic Trek 3700 and I'm over the moon with it.
