Proper GT frame size determination

Hey all,

I am trying to determine how GT measures their frames. I have a '95 GT Avalanche and it measures approx. 22" from center crank to the top of the seat tube. Paperwork I have shows it as a 20". Any help out there?

Probably crank centre to the centre of the top tube or crank centre to top of the top tube.
