Looking for a good bashguard

Im looking for a decent bashguard for my Fisher. Are there any ones better than others or are they pretty much the same?
Im going to ditch the outer ring and probably go up to a 34 in the middle for commuting to work
so whats the end all for bash rings (under 50 bones or so)?

50$ on average. I look for thick aluminum or the evil style bashgaurd. :)

How are those plastic SuperChargers? and wtf is Makrolon®? Some sort of heavy duty lexan?

Maelstrom 02-05-04 03:42 PM

They are awesome, strong and they slide over stuff. Virtually unreabkable.

And yes...thats exactly what it is I believe :)

werd, looks like my bike is going to get some new bling

cant beat $35

Wonder if the plastic would weigh less than a comparble sized Al ring

What about a raceface bashguard? they sure look very nice, but to be honest i am totally ignorant about bashguard stuff since i never needed one.

I believe the lexan is lighter. But really it is overbeefer compared to aluminum :)

I've been running a RaceFace aluminum one for a while now. Works great. I think the cost is around $25.00. I've seen them at www.pricepoint.com. I bought mine off of eBay for $10.00, with shipping it was about $15.00.

I am now using the one that came on my Truvative Hussefelt cranks. Almost the same thickness. Haven't had the pleasure to use it yet. Hopefully this weekend!
