Changing my double to a triple

I have a double chain ring on my titanium mountain bike. I'd like to add a chain ring so as to attain the usual/conventional mtb triple set-up.

What would I need to replace?

Please don't tell me I need a new XTR front derailleur, and new XTR shifters

Thanks for your help!

Describe your current setup a little more.
