I SAY GOODDAY! so does this mean your not going to use them again? I tried them out for the first time yesterday. The weather was really bad and i wasnt dressed for it either so i was only on the trails for about an hour. Fell also :D. Lot of the close calls were because i would hesitate before going down some technical trails and wasnt sure if i wanted to try them cliped in or not. But it made a big difference going up hill so im definitely going to stick with them. |
well, good luck I guess.
might want to bring some bandages next time you ride. |
The pedals aren't Shimano 505s are they?
|
mine are.

i'm definately going to stick with clipless pedals. in one day i gain alot of confindence in my technical downhills and a lot of power going up. cant wait to ride again.
|
sorry crgowo thats a typo

Mutant, are your 505s very hard to get out of? Mine were. They came with my Diamondback. Then I tried the pedals on my husband's bike and they were soooo much easier to get out of. I had a serious accident with those 505s and hurt myself quite badly due to not getting out in time.

on the SPD's your going to need to loosten the springs when you get them. Have to play with them for awhile to get them just right.

Yes, the spd's were loosened as loose as they could go. My husband even thought they were hard to get out of.

I thought my spd's were defective after loosening them both all the way, cuz my right side would clip out smoothly, and the left side was always stuck and hard to get out of. it turns out that it was the placement of the clips on the bottom of my shoe that were off. just a couple millimeters makes a BIG difference. |
Well, I have Ritchey pedals anyway and they are fine. Perhaps I didn't word it correctly, but we adjusted and worked on the 505s for a long time to no avail.
