Headshok Replacement

Does anyone know typically how long does it take cannondale to replace one? The bike shop has had my bike for 2 weeks, and every time I call I get the typical "its not here yet and no, we don't have a tracking number, call us back in a week".

Aside from mtb'ing I commute on this thing and the withdrawl is killing me.

In case you're wondering. Its an 08 F3 and the Headshok's lockout and rebound adjustment stopped working.

I dealt with the exact same crap. I have an '06 F3, and the symptoms were identical. My Headshok exploded after 2 hrs of ride time = DEFECTIVE. No lockout, no rebound damping.

It took ~4 weeks before I got mine back. This was during the spring when C-dale isn't backlogged doing shock rebuilds for people. Utter stupidity. Also, it is important to make sure that the LBS has actually sent your unit out. Sometimes your bike gets stuck in the back of the shop and forgotten about.

In short, it is a real mess. The whole "being w/o bike" thing for 4 weeks is unacceptable, and I think once I ride my F3 for one more season it is out the door for something more user-serviceable. It is too bad.... it really does work great.

it depends on where u live the c'dale factory is in bedford PA i live in MD it took like 3 days to get the new cartridge and then a few more to get it installed, but if you live on california... (for the record my headshock was fine for over a year but then my friend was riding it and i was on my rush, he is heavier then me and it turned out that there was dirt in the piston area and the seal got messed up so the shock when flat, and we tried to ride out locked out and that broke the lockout so if u blow ur shock don't lock it out)

My advice to you is that Cannondale would be disgusted to hear this. Why not try contacting Cannondales headquarters directly and see what they have to say? I doubt if they want suppliers to have pi#s poor service
