Tube in a tubeless tire?
 

I've searched and haven't found a direct answer on this.

Is it ok to put a tube in a tubeless tire? Is it difficult? Does it work well?

Sorry, no; it spontaneously explodes.

(You'll be fine. It's really no different.)

Just don't lose the tubeless valve, o-rings (if present), and lock nut. You'll need these if you want to go back to tubeless.

BTW...even if you are running a tubeless setup you should still carry a tube to fit your wheel. Murphy's law says that if you aren't carrying one in your camelback you will need one as soon as you reach the point in your ride that are the farthest away from your car. If you get a bad puncture in your tire a tube will get you home.

for heavy riding, leave the tube out. for city riding, put one in. with a tube, tires can't take as much punishment, but they hold air longer.

I have read you can for most but I have a rear Mavic Crossland ('06) and the bead did not seat correctly with a tube type tire and a tube. It was egg shaped. The Mavic instructions say for the Crossland I will have to cut out the sealing band but for other higher end models it will work.

It will be fine. Every trek with tubeless tires comes with tubes in them.

my Trek 3900 with tubeless Bontrager Connection Trail doesn't come with tubes in them!!
