So, I broke a spoke a while ago, and just recently, I broke another. And another, so I figure the wheel needs to be rebuilt. LBS wanted 65 bucks to do it. I might as well get a new wheel. Sadly, I need a rear wheel on Saturday. Performance is the only place around that has wheels for a decent price. So, I just want to know, which will be more durable. Thanks.

My experience with Xrides is that they're laterally weak. You can buy them with the MP3 warranty that covers 2yrs replacement no questions. I definately had to use it. Mine was 9 days old when I taco'd it. I sold them to my riding buddy immediately after I got the new one.

Do you think the Forte would be better? I would much rather get something like rhino lites, but I like I said, I kinda need them on Saturday.

If you can bag Saturday or borrow a bike...I'd go 1000% with the Suns. They're a good rim.

I dont really think I can, but do you know of anywhere that sells the lites individually? Everywhere I go, all I see is wheel sets, and I just need a rear (I am about to get a front with 20mm front hub).

There's all kinds of places to buy wheels on the net individually, but not by tomorrow. I got mine built up at Universalcycles.com and I totally endorse their work. They built a very strong set for me.

Na, I need a wheel built up (I can true wheels, mostly, but I dont have the skill to build them). I'll ask around on a local forum to see if anyone has a rear that I could borrow (all of my families bikes are set up with Vs and non disc hubs).

Based on spoke count I'd say the Forte is more durable (3x vs 2x). If you are looking for a 1-time fix then go the cheapest route and get the Mavic.

I run the Mavic Crossrides on my full suspension bike. ZERO problems. I have yet to have the need to true these wheels.

However, the Forte TerraMax's are a decent wheel too. So it will come down to price. I prefer the Mavics over the Forte's.

But if your disc only, I'd go with the Forte Loco wheels. Much more durable than the other two.

I'm 195lbs and beat the piss out off everything. Thus the Xrides don't appeal to me.

I was just looking through yesterday's mail, and we got a 10$ off coupon. I think I'm just going to go for the Crosslands. I was looking at the Loco, but that's a bit out of my price range. When I go, I think I'll see if the will sell me the rear Rhyno lite from the wheel set. I'm not sure if they will, but last time I was there, they let a guy buy the rear wheel from a wheel set.

I'm 200 lbs and they seem to work for me. However, I don't take the bike off jumps a stuff either.

I am torn between the Terramax and the Crossland.
