Yes, it's kinda stupid. And it'll sell very well for them. Which isn't stupid at all.

Curious about the cost of this silly jewelry. Interesting that some of the parts had warnings about degradation of performance and inherent fragility. Way stupid.

Yeah, I'll laugh if I see anyone with this stuff on their bike. Of course, if the the bike is not ridden, then it's a moot point.

Good point. While most of this stuff is tacky, I think the chain looks very nice.

It's all down to cost. I like good-looking parts on my bike, and a bit of bling now and then is fun. For my purposes though, I've settled on XT as a good level to aim for. Anything XTR is far out of my price-range.

You guys should realize that you're making your own little elitist club, right? Who gives a crap whether someone rides a $50 Huffy or a $12,000 unobtanium bike if they ride it? No use disparaging someone just for buying something.

That said, if they don't ride their bling-out bike, kill them and split the bounty.

For most people that kind of stuff is a waste of money. It is primarily for vanity, and even as the website alludes to- of dubious performance enhancement/durability.

Not disparaging or being elitist here at all- it's a silly waste of money.

Meh. For someone who does not differentiate between mountain biking and just riding a bike, they would wonder why we would spend so much money on our bikes. We put value on having a bike with the ability to do what we want it to do. By that same token, you might now see the value of getting some parts to make your bike look nicer but that doesn't make it any less of a frivolous purchase than ours to an outsider.

This web site is HIGHLY ANNOYING!
Well, if you already have an insane bike; That is black, gold or white in color, and have extra money to spend why not get.... gold parts.

"Damage may occur easily than standard models cause of bike crash"
Wow, no longer durable, and they can't type...

No.

As for Santiago, all I'm saying is that we shouldn't be weenies towards people simply because of a wasteful purchase. Yes, this Yumeya stuff is totally useless, but if someone wants it and they have the money, more power to them.
