Hot chick, do you give it a kick?

Hey, first I'm not sure how many people will admit to this...

My mom got a kick out mountain bikers in S.Germany... we were hiking up this mountain trail and she was walking with another woman. They're good looking for their age. Anyway there were a ton of muscled German mountain bikers on the mountain as we were hiking down, I thought they were all really slacking off though. When they passed me and my brother, they were always walking their bikes or going super slow granny gear. But when they passed my mom farther up the trail, they were always looking really manly, impressive and fast.

It was really funny, at the end of the day I mentioned to her that the mountain bikers all looked like a bunch of slackers to me and I said that I could have biked faster than them. She thought I was BSing her and showing off, she was really impressed with them because every single one of them passed her going full tilt and she thought they were absolutely amazing.

Probably, good im not posting under my real name.

No pics, sorry, that I think would get her pissed!

Actually, what I'm about to say would get her even angrier. I was thinking about Dorsilifin's comment. The mostly young biker people saw them from far away and sped up so they looked tough as they approached, planning to slow down and say high? When they got close, they realized my mom & her weren't actually hot 20-somethings, which she looks like from a distance, but were probably married so they kept going fast.

One of them did stop, said something nice and said he hadn't seen her on the trail. But he was an older guy and actually in her age range. This all makes sense now...

the trails are so tight here that if i were approaching head on, i'd pull over and let 'em walk past without getting in their way (i do the same thing regardless of guy/girl). if approaching from behind, i'll eventually get around with a bit of a vocal warning.

Uhhhhhhhhh..

How do you know for a fact that they were going full tilt just to impress them?

That being said I pity the fools who speed up just to impress

Need pics of your Mom with her woman friend giving her a back rub.

Then folks can judge whether they are "hot" or the guys were speeding up to get out of Double Coyote danger (with two chicks that might quadruple coyote danger).

I don't, that's why I asked... would have been a real coincidence though.

No pics, sorry

When I wore a GPS for a few test runs/rides, I noticed that unconciously I sped up across intersections where there were people. think most folk will try to look their best when others are around. Especially if it's a boy-girl thing.

This is true, som moms are hot. But, I think referring to your own mom as hot (or implying such, as the case may be) is a little out of line and mildly incestuous.

I think I kick it.... last weekend I was all set to take the wuss line around this log pile, then there are 2 chicks looking at the trailmap about 10 yards away from it. I made it over the log pile fine..

however 1 mile later i tried to pull off the trail to let a rider pass, and couldn't unclip and fell right in front of him. Then i got back up tested my cleat and fell over again.. aparently a cleat bolt had made it's way loose as there was only one left in the shoe. glad I didn't need to dab on the log pile.

the rest of the ride sucked as I only had one cleat and had to hit the street for the ride back to the truck.. I'm now carrying cleatbolts on every ride, and still trying to impress the ladies by speeding away from them.
