Amoeba pedals

the link above shows the type of pedal i have recently bought...

its not bad....

i do have a problem with it though. It damages the sole of my shoes.. the ridges at the sides are apparently razor sharp..

is there any way i could reduce the damage done..any tips?

Or do i get a new pair of pedals that would suit me better?
