I've got a new baby
Went out an bought a Santa Cruz Chameleon today. I managed to find a dealer in my area which stocked them (although the one I bought was the only one they actually had in I think, but I'm not complaining), I had admitadly overlooked them previously for various reasons but saw them and thought may as well have a look. Went in and it turned out they had one in the sale in the size and colour I wanted for about £500 less than I was expecting to spend!
I know, this thread is worthless without pics but they're doing a checkover before they sell it to me and are swapping out the forks so will be picking it up later in the week. I'm just really excited and felt the need to post. Will try and gets pics up of it in its new home, or preferrably out on the trails, ASAP.
That is all.

Meh, w/e. I would say what I'm starting to consider you but it's a public forum
What is a hack anyways, not a term I'm familiar with.

No, highest I've done is probs bout 8ft. If I do anything bigger I'd worry about my bike falling apart (really is that bad) but there are bigger ones around which I'd love to try.

Meh, the new one has extra gusseting and a warranty. Also looks like I've got longer travel forks on mine.
As long as I find out how tough it is before the warranty runs out. I doubt I'll reach the bikes limits though.

Be wary of uses that may void that warranty you speak of, Count Hackula.

Dheorl-
See, you went and found an appropriate bike for your purposes without much help whatsoever from the cadre of clowns on this forum. Some rock gardens and 3-4 ft. drops should keep you busy for quite a while.

Versatile bike that truly lives up to its name. Good job; enjoy; and post some pics when you can.

I wanted a Chameleon at one time but ended up with a Kona.
Congrats and have fun with your new ride!
Oh and...did you want me to flick Junkyard in the forehead for you?

Well, I figured that it wasnt your bike, because you know us mountain bikers, we (at least I do) love to hear about small animals getting chopped up, so you would have told us about it.
