Products to keep chain on the ring - not on the BB!
 

I know there are some products out there to keep chains from falling off the rings and onto the bottom bracket. What do you guys have?

Are you talking about a guide or just a simple anti-chain-suck clamp? For anti-chain-suck this is what I'm referring to:

third eye chain watcher (above) and ngear jump stop.

i run a jump stop on my 1x9 cross bike, never used the third eye thing, but i like that the jump stop has a metal plate instead of just being a plastic thing

then also of course we have the bb mount chain tensioners that you didn't want

also as said above why is your chian falling off, try tightening your inner limit screw, now that being said really bumpy/rocky downhills have knocked my chain from the big ring (middle ring cause bashgaurd) comletely off the rings onto the bb cause of the bouncing around obviousy i cant adjust that cause i'm already in in a bigger ring and i need to be able to downshift. I plan on getting a bb mount chain guide/tensioner

If anyone is interested, I have some of those plastic anti-suck clamps available. I occasionally dabble in bike parts that I sell on the interweeebs so that I can get stuff at wholesale for myself. I have them available in 31.8 or 34.9 mm for $8 USD shipped ($8 CAD shipped to my fellow Canucks).

you running one, two, or three rings? too much chain? rear mech not picking up enough slack? front limit screws (if you have one) set right? too worn a ring can do this. is it fallingoff inside, outside, or both? hardtail or full suspension bike? too worn a chain? if it's something in your setup that is wrong, a new guide won't do a lot. you need to find out the cause.

if only running one ring, make sure it's an unramped SS ring.

Outer bashring plus a jump stop works wonders if running single ring on a hardtail. if running gears, or running single ring on a fully a simple lower chainguide can work well.

Properly adjusted front derailer works for me. If you have a 1x drivetrain, the dogfang from post 2 is what my cyclocross racer friends use.
