MTB information

I found this bike at a thrift store today ($45), and grabbed it. It's a 15speed MTB. At first I thought it was a TREK Antelope, but it's not. The actual brand is 'Antilope', and the model is 'Mountain Bike'.
First post here, but a member of another bike forum....

So, I was hoping if someone could give me some info on it (I've Googled pages and pages, but nothing).

* A Viscount seat
* Nervar cranks (Made in France)
* Rigida rims (26"...Made in France)

Where the Trek logo would normally be on the neck, there is simply an image of an antelope, with the word Antilope" (with an 'i')

Thanks in advance if anyone knows where and when/where this beast was mfg'd.

Why did you buy it? Not much of a mountain bike despite the designation on the frame. Pretty dang old, probably mid-late 80s, but never heard of the brand. A brief google came up with this link, supposedly there's some reference in there to a Netherlands brand called Antilope...
