safety levers on vertical bar ends
Anybody install a 2nd set of brake levers on the vertical bar ends? I think they call them safety levers.

Right, exactly. Except I found out more about safety levers and how they have to be "in-line" between the regular levers and the brakes. So it would be impractical on the bar ends.

um why?
clip on lever extension existed during the crazy bar end heyday of the 90's, but they sucked then, and i imagine they'd suck now.

I prefer running a 160mm stem and then running the bar ends in reverse.

First, there is nothing safe about bar ends pointing up like that.. plus it looks stupid.
Second.. most of the time you use bar ends is when climbing.. why would you need to brake while climbing?
