fort ord, ca XC race
turnout for the fort ord cross country race was great. I dont know if any of you may have been there or not but it was the first race of the season for my team (san rafael high school) and my first official race ever. I got pretty messed up in the star, someone got caught on my bike and caused a pile up as everyone sprinted out and i went down really hard on cement. Lots of bruises and road rashes aside, i finished the 20+ mile race in the rain. i started about 1 min after everyone due to the fall but ended up pulling through and getting to the middle of the pack (33rd) by the fourth lap.
It was greuling, muddy, and bloody, but i loved it.
