shoe question

on the shoe, there are two holes for the cleat attachment. the problem is in one of the holes on the shoe, the threads are a little messed up. wonder if there's a solution to this? perhaps locktite? TIA.

If you use that adhesive, you may never get the screw back out again if you need to replace the cleat. Why not simply re-tap the hole? All the shoes I've ever had have had 4 holes instead of two. Answer & Specialized & Pearl Izumi & Vittoria brands...

If you remove your insole, you can remove the metal plate (threaded plate) and replace it with a new one. The new ones usually come with new replacement cleats.

alright thanks, i'll look into it more. right now i got the screws in reasonably tight as only one of the holes are stripped. i'm new to the world of clipless btw, and they feel a lot different from toeclips. sometimes i can't even tell if i am clipped in or not. oh well, happy trails.
