San Diego Riders: where do you ride?

I'll definitely be hitting up the LBS about rides, but I thought I'd get some feedback from any San Diego area riders, or folks who've visited my neck of the woods.

Thanks

Canyons, pretty much anyccanyon with a trail ill ride. Im in Penasquitos(sp?) and I ride in the preserve which is next to my house.

I also like riding up Mt. Soledad. I haven't made it up the north side yet, supposedly the hardest cimb in all of SD.

If Im riding the road bike, and I want to go as fast as possible I ride on Kearny Villa Road. It's an old freeway that isn't used much anymore.

I've run up the north side of Soledad before - not fun...

I've been meaning to get out to the canyons. Most of my rides are around Tierrasanta/Mission Trails.

Hey Rower,

Check this site out MyBikeSite/SoCal

Lots of riders from SD. There are a bunch of idiots on the site but you will get some serious answers from riders who ride all the time.

Thanks for the tip, dirtbikedude.

I've found a couple of trail review sites before, but like you said, lots of jokers.

I've heard about Daley Ranch from a few people. What's the best way to get there, trailhead, etc?

Hey Rower, if you go to the site I gave you they have directions to just about all the trails in SoCal in the trailhead section. There are also write-ups of each trail under the directions.

Thanks for the offer, Wingman. Any particular trails you ride often?

I also came across a site with some more good trail reviews/pictures/videos - https://mountainbikebill.com/

And check out the link to Miles Todd's crash at the bottom of this page.
