So, that's what you were talking about!
Sounds nice!
Just rode my Enduro SX this weekend, nice bike, but I'm having a lot of ghost shifting problems. Need to check to see if the derailleur hanger is bent.

Frame - S.C Blur
Fair enough. Wouldn't be my first choice though, but you'll probably like it
Wheels - Mavic 717 disc, C.K. ISO hubs, SPAIM xc ray spokes
CXRays are a bit of a waste on a mountainbike, but they'll be okay. DT Super Comps might be a better option though. Good rims, rear hub will drive you mad. *WhEEEEEEEErrrRrrrRrrrRrr*
Fork - Marzocchi RAC Coil
Why heavy, stupid unobtanium? Try a Marathon 120 or a Fox TALAS
Brakes - Hope Mono Mini 6"
Good choice
Cranks - RF Deus XC
Heavy. Well, at least they're cheap.
Deraileurs - XTR front / XO Rear
Shifters - Rocket front / XO Rear
Cool
Bar & stem - Easton EA70
EA50 is actually better designed. Thompson is bulletproof, Ritchey WCS is cleverer
Headset - RF Deus XC
Seatpost - RF XY
A truly stupid seatpost...unless you weight 250lbs
Saddle - Avocet 02 Air 40
Cassett - SRAM PG990
Pedals - XPEDO Mountain Force MagSl

So a2, how's the ride? Also, don't you always say pics are mandatory on first rides? Well, where are they.
I've been racing DH for so long I forgot what a XC rig feels like. When I roade a friends Blur it was sweet. Much better then my old xc rigs.
Always. I never buy preassembled bikes. Not since I was young'n. This way I get what I like and know it will work.

Building your own bike is always the way to go. It's fun, you learn alot about your bike, and you're proud to depend on something you spec'd out and built/maintained yourself. I recently finished my Cove Handjob and it's the sweetest bike I've ridden. It just does everything well and is a pleasure to ride. It's a 21" Handjob frame with: Marzocchi EXR forks, Race Face stem, seatpost, and XC cranks, SRAM 9.0 drive train, Hell Bent 1" riser bars, Avid mechanical disk brakes, Sella saddle, Mavic rims/XT disc compatible hubs, Shimano M536 pedals, and Smoke and Velociraptor rubber. I'm also receiving my Surly Crosscheck frameset today and hope to have that built by the end of the summer (I don't rush-I wait for my parts to become affordable and shop around a lot). My goal is to have one nice mountain bike (check) and one nice road/touring/commuting bike.
