Cannondale Sobe ???

I bought a Cannondale Sobe MB on CL for $200 and wondering if it is worth it. Some info I found on the internet leads me to believe this is a F600, but I can't be sure. This bike is heavy, about 10yrs old I am guessing... Says CAAD2 on the frame. 381 EL RST forks / shocks. It has 26" rims (and is a 24 speed I am guessing again, 3 front sprockets - 8 wheel sprockets). Anyone have any idea what this bike is or any way to reference it? I found the serial # if there is a way to look it up.
Thanks.

Is everything in working order so that you can ride it? If so and if you can have fun on it it was probably a good deal for you.

Yea, so I found it is a 2000 M400 model bike, apparently Coca Cola / Sobe promotional issue or something. I had it tuned and got the wheels true, turns out it is a nice ride for a 21lb bike. I rode it on the road and non aggressive trail for 40 miles day 1. The following day seen 8 miles of more aggressive trail riding, the RST front may not be what I need for this kind of riding... Still, all in all, nice riding bike and worth every penny!

I realize this post is over three years old, but I was wondering if you bought this sobe cannondale in Austin tx? Mine was stolen freshman year at UT and I loved that bike to death until someone stole it out of the bike racks by my dorm and the campus pd never found it :/

Hey man, so i bought a 99 sobe cannondale back in april. im currently re building it and was trying to do some research and came across this forum and your post. Shoot me a picture of your bike. I cant imagine the bike i bought is yours due to the state i bought it in. (dry rotted tires and tubes, rusted chain and drivetrain) As well as the fact that im in Dallas not austin. but the good person in me has to at least make sure.

The 2004 Cannondale/Sobe F1000SL reissue is a very highly sought-after bike. I built my old one into a 17lb race hardtail, with a 80mm Fatty Headshok. I should have NEVER sold it. The bike was made when Cannondale used their own, 6000-Series Alcoa aluminum alloy called Alcalyte Optimo. It was an Aerospace-grade tubing that was most strongest at the smooth weld junctions. They discontinued it, because it was so expensive to produce by hand.
