"The Big Sale"

It seems that all of my "never's" have become necessity.

Pricepoint is having "The Big Sale", so I picked up a new drivetrain b/c mine's worn out. I don't recall if I ever said I'd never roll with a PG990 again b/c I still prefer XT, but the price was right...$62.50 vs. $85 for the XT. Snizzagged a 971 chain and a Raceface 32t too.

So how many never's have I eaten lately?

Never have an air fork...check.
Never ride anything but a dually...check.
Never use a PG990 cassette again...check.
Never use carbon...check.
Never roll with anybody but Kenda...check.

It was a big meal of "nevers" but I may have learned a lesson in life about what never to say again.

Yah...27 flat right now. Still got a Birthday though...then we're lookin' at a mid 26lb...but who's counting anymore, haha?

It's fast though. The Kings are crapola on pavement compared to a Nevegal...but they're not going to be on much pavement.

I may have just dribbled in mah shorts...

That's ironic.

Soon, you will be on a Blindside with a Rone...I'll be on a DMR with a DeeJay...and Doug will be on some goofy Kinesis with 3 different forks staring him in the face.

^^

I'm looking seriously at the Corsair Crown .

Looks like you laid in some good stock, Ed. PP's Big Sale was too much to resist, eh? I snagged one of the Sette suspension/dropper seatposts just to finally try it out. I'd pestered the pee outa Rankin about his and figured the next time it went down to $30, it would be worth the gamble to fool around with it on the DB. My broken wing should be healthy enough for a little easy 'flying' next Wednesday night so I'm going to finally get to try it out.

They should match my white fork and frame just perfect. They are replacing Race Face Next carbon bars so I'm picking up a little weight but I'm starting to get skeeert with the carbon bars, my weight and riding style.
