New lid.

I picked up this Bell Drop when Jenson had them mismarked for way cheaper than is possible on the off chance that they might actually honor the order.

Well they did and it showed up this morning. I ordered a large with out checking to see how the sizing runs, come to find out a lot of people find the large to big so I was worried. But my gigantic head pull though again, the large is a perfect fit.

I really couldn't be any happier with the purchase the helmet feels light in the hands and on the head, I was expecting it to be much heavier. The field of vision is great. The sides of the helmet are not in the line of site when its on and the beak and visor are just barely. This really is a great helmet in term of fit and finish and I hope I never have to put the ASTM DH certification to the test but its good to know its there.

I have been telling b2b to hit me up. Not familiar with Landahl, hell I'm not really familiar with any of them really. Enlighten me about this Landahl.

Boy did you get lucky. What was the real price?

Jenson had spokes for $50, huge amount, box of 500 maybe (I don't remember). Sure I thought that was too good to be true, but I had to try anyway right?

Well, they called me and the csr was very harsh about the whole situation and refussed to honor the web price and wouldn't offer any other solution other than to try to find different spokes for me. Ok, I guess that was kind of nice, but then he questioned me on the need of so many spokes and if they were the length I needed, if my lbs had a cutter threader on and on.

I told him to cancel the rest of my order and that I'd never order from them again.

But I'm glad it worked out for you.

The real price was 130. I was fully expecting a call or an email saying "Oops, glitch sorry" but it never came. I do feel pretty lucky.

In all honesty I picked this particular one because it was the only one that had an ETD listed, so I figured I had a better chance with it than any of the styles on back order. Once I found out what it actually looked like I was even more stoked. My friend is still waiting on a matte green helmet still no ETD.

^ I just came back from a 3 day holiday with my wife, and I sussed out all the bike shops in the city we went to. I must say the new Bellistic full face helmets looked very nice to me. Funny how a few years ago, Bell would be the last brand I would consider for stuff like this... they sure have come a long way... and the prices aren't all that bad either.

Bell and Giro are one and the same now. I think that had a lot to do with it.

If you want to hit up Landahl it's (at least IMO) better than anything in Lawrence, and I'd be more than willing to show a group of guys around some time.
