Race bike. Its got a 450lb spring..an i wiegh 190, so its pretty much race only. I just got my thomson post, clipless pedals and Titec seat put on this weekend and had it out for its first ride. So fast...mmmm. I "play" on hardtails.

Well still a sweet ride. I didn't know there was that many races in Hawaii ;)

Can you please explain what makes this bike race only and why?

Sure,

First off the bike is built really light. (by my standards anyway cause I weigh around 190) It weights about 40.5 pounds. Now, that may seem heavy, but a bike like this is built one of two ways, for freeriding or for DH. This is a DH race bike. I have clipless pedals as well, which are meant for speed, not fun really. Also, the suspension front and rear is set really really soft, which makes it nice and responsive at high speed for DH racing, but not as good for big drops (cause it would bottom out and break stuff) and other Freeride type things. Also, the fork on it is a light DH fork, not a heavy FR fork like a monster T or a shiver or something. Strictly for race, dh kind of purposes.

That explain it?

I thought boxxers weren't too bad for freeride.

What type of drivetrain are you using? Shimano, SRAM, etc...

Looks like rear Xt der with no front der or rear brake.

Shaving off the weight I guess.

Ha!

No, its a SRAM 7.0 rear der and sram X7 shifter. Rear brake is not on but is a Hayes Hydro in real life. Shimano can blow me.

Boxxers are not for freeride unless you weigh maybe 130 pounds or something. Theyre made to be light and reasonably strong and stiff for racing purposes, but freeriding is a bit much on them.

Yeah thanks.

Didn't think it was a Shimano derailleur or shifter.
