Specialized Enduro Small frame sold out?

Greetings, this is my first post in this forum.

Recently I have been looking hard for a new 2004 Specialized Enduro S-Works in Small size frame.

I live in San Francisco Bay Area, CA. A couple dealers told me that all Small size Enduro's (any Enduro trim model) are sold out for this year, and I would need to wait for the 2005 models.

Is it true, or just the dealers couldn't allocate one for me?

Thanks for any help, with best regards,
- Alex.

I don't work in a shop anymore... but when I did (last few years) specialized was known for selling outa certain models like that.

I can't imagine a shop would BS you like that... most have easy access to specialized and can check their inventory easily, so more than likely what they are telling you is true.

Good luck and I hope you find one!

I don't think it's worth the money if you choose small size. For the small size Enduro, you'll get a smaller crank shaft, and the frame is like 10 cm shorter than medium, I don't know your height, but I am like 5'6" and I have medium Enduro. I love my Enduro, it's the 04 Enduro Expert, just got it for 2 months. Hey I am in San Francisco too, didn't you check out the Speicailized dealer store at Sunset?

Thanks for the info,

I am not a big guy (5'4"). I have tried, back and forward, on the Medium and Size size (to be exact, a small size FSR cuz no dealer seemed to have a small Enduro for me to try on )... By the end of the day, I still found myself more comfortable and confident on the Small size frame...

I haven't checked-out the dealer at Sunset (I checked out the ones in Palo Alto and SanMateo), but I will give it a visit. Thanks.

Regards,

Alex, just for your own info, I live in the Tampa Bay area (Florida) and there is a shop that has a very slightly used Enduro Expert in a small frame. I know it isn't a S-Works but just thought you might be intrested. University Bicycle Center, PH. (813) 971-2277 or Fax. (813) 977-2440 or toll free 1-800-881-2472. Jim.
