44/28 gearing

Is it possible to get this gearing on a standard crank. I notice the new sram XX has an option with this, but is it possible to buy new rings for my racface to get this combination?

If it is any idea of a company who makes them and also what position they would sit in? Either a 42 upper or 30 lower may be acceptable, but I'd rather have what I specified in the title.

You may not be able to get a standard MTB derailleur to shift well on this setup. Your very close here to a touring triple 26/36/48 available in LX and XT. The derailleur will be more comfortable with the intermediate stop.

The new SRAM stuff has new derailleur geometry to match.

I geuss I'll have to wait for SRAM XX to come out then. I don't really want to use those cranks though. Do you know if the ring they use will fit on other arms?

I believe that they have a new bolt circle.

I had another thought. Would using a road derailleur work?
