So I got my new bike today
After about 8 years of not owning a bike (well, not riding at least), I got a 2003 GF Hoo Koo E Koo today at the LBS. I was looking at some of the Cannondale F-series, and the GF Tassajara, but then the shop I went to today had last year's model HKEK for $699, and I couldn't pass it up. Pretty much the same as this year, I think, except for the Manitou fork (over the RS). Don't really know what type of biking I'll be doing, but I didn't want to limit myself by going with a "hybrid" (definately not a road bike), so I went with the MTB. Plenty of bike for a rebeginner, now all I need is the stamina.

nice choice on a starter. Not too little bike where you cant advance with it, but not enough where you might not grow into it

So you don't know what kind of riding you're gonna do huh? Well what's your first ride plan lookin like? Gonna hit the dirt? Mess around urban with it? A long road-ride? Huck off a 50 foot cliff? Enter an XC race?
As long as your riding is all that matters, oh and a smile while doing it! Good luck!

Mael, I'm just a humble moderator. I can only make suggestions to Joe. However, I do agree, it "SHOULD" be a rule or at least a "SUGGESTION".
